Langtang Kyangjin Gompa Trek- 14 days

Langtang is one of the least trekked, yet one of the most beautiful, trekking areas. Located north of the Kathmandu Valley, the route goes through traditional and ethnic villages and untouched forests on the way to the peaks of Langtang-Lirung. This trek reveals the contrast between the Hindu culture of the Kathmandu Valley and the Buddhist culture to the immediate north of Kathmandu. The highlights of this tour include the visit to Langtang Valley, Kyanjin Gompa (monastery) and the Lirung Glacier. One can also climb the Langsisa Peak and visit the Gosainkunda Lake.
The Langtang valley-'the valley of glaciers'. This valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow-capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild premolar. In the upper part of the valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high passes enveloped in mist, tiny lakes of crystalline brightness and glaciated mountain giants.
